Leon M. Halac, M.D. is the medical director of Porter Ranch Medical Center. Dr. Halac is board certified in Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, Argentina. He graduated with honors for the study non published on Chagas disease prevalent in Argentina and Brazil. Dr. Halac completed his residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, Cleveland OH.   He then went on to advanced training at Veterans Hospital, Long Beach CA as a Gastroenterology Senior Resident emphasis in endoscopy. He received his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation, La Jolla, CA and was the Senior Resident at Western Reserve University VA Hospital, Cleveland OH.

Dr. Halac has been practicing in Southern California for more than 30 years. His clinical areas of expertise include Gastroenterology and internal medicine. He specializes in preventative care medicine.

Dr. Halac is a member of the Academy of Internal Medicine, Orange County CA, California Medical Association, and is a receiver of multiple American Medical Association Recognition Awards .

Dr. Halac is committed to excellence in comprehensive health care for men and women, in a partnership that honors patient individuality and dignity. His approach involves understanding the patient's medical health care needs and, where applicable, he integrates alternative health care methods in his treatment plan for his patients .

Dr. Halac has hospital privileges at West Hills Hospital, CA. He is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish and has an understanding of French and Portuguese .
